| John DiGiovanni believes that olive oil rules, organization is the key to success, and food, like most things, is best when left to its own simple beauty. To that end, John, together with his culinary team, creates special experiences in the Nationwide Arena, where he seamlessly combines traditional principles with intelligent culinary adventure since May 2006.  A 15-year veteran of the Walt Disney World kitchens, John began his apprenticeship with Disney’s Culinary Academy, where he spent three years of intense culinary training in various kitchens of the Walt Disney World Resort. After graduating, John was on the opening team for Citricos. He left Citricos to cook in the prestigious Victoria & Albert’s, Disney’s only AAA 5-diamond restaurant. From there John has also worked at the Grand Floridian Convention Center and the Magic Kingdom, where he was a Sous Chef at the Crystal Palace and Quick Service Restaurants. During his time at Walt Disney World, he has worked alongside the world’s greatest chefs, from Jean Louis Palladin to Iron Chef Morimoto. Chef John worked closely with Disney’s Training and Development Team and was a member of Walt Disney World’s Global Special Dietary Needs Committee. Chef John has been recognized for his work with dietary allergies by his guests & his leaders.    In March 2006, John left Orlando to raise his family and continue his career in the Columbus, Ohio area. During the summer of 2006 Chef John traveled with Chef Rolf Baumann, corporate chef for Delaware North Companies, honing his skills while assisting and overseeing high profile events in stadiums, convention centers and racetracks across the country. At the Nationwide Arena, Chef John continues to raise the bar, setting the standards for kitchen cleanliness and food quality in the building as well as company-wide. John has been recognized by his leaders for process improvements he has put into place. Chef John has appeared on the Food Network, was a participating chef in EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival, and performed culinary demonstrations at the Whole Foods Market. His talent and charisma makes his appearances a must-see for food fans. |
